Inside EdSource
News
The S. D. Bechtel, Jr. Foundation has awarded EdSource a two-year grant of $100,000 each year to support EdSource communications and publications. A primary interest of the S. D. Bechtel, Jr. Foundation is the advancement of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education in California. EdSource appreciates the Foundation’s ongoing support of our work.
Mary Perry, EdSource's esteemed deputy director, has resigned her position as of October 14, 2011. Mary has been a mainstay of the organization for the last 18 1/2 years. During that time, she has emerged as a true expert in almost every segment of the education system in California, especially in matters regarding school finance.
Mary has graciously agreed to continue to work with the organization as a consultant on some of the projects with which she has been most closely identified. We are deeply grateful for her contributions, which are evident in almost every activity undertaken by EdSource over the past nearly two decades, and we look forward to her continuing contributions to EdSource in a different capacity.
Please join us in thanking Mary for her contributions not only to EdSource but to helping to improve the education system in California.
