Media Resources

A core part of EdSource's work is to help journalists covering education in California.

We do this in several ways, including:

  • Offering free access to all EdSource publications to members of the media.
  • Providing clear background information and statistics on our website to help inform your reporting.
  • Making our research staff available to answer specific questions about current issues as well as provide referrals to other experts and resources.

Most EdSource publications are available as free downloads. If we are charging for a report, we send an email to our media list so journalists can access it for free. Please complete the form below to be added to our media email list.

If you have a question about public schools in California and would like to speak with a member of our research staff, you can contact our office during business hours: 650/917-9481 or edsource@edsource.org.

We also would urge reporters new to education to find out more about services provided by the Hechinger Institute and the Education Writers Association.
