Federal Categorical Programs in 2010-11

January 2011

This table displays the federal categorical programs through which California receives funding and the amount of ongoing money received in 2010-11.

In addition, the table indicates the temporary funding received through federal stimulus measures-the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) enacted in Feb. 2009 and the Education Jobs Fund enacted in Aug. 2010. Stimulus funds arrived as single appropriations and thus cannot be associated with particular fiscal years. ARRA funds must be spent by Sept. 30, 2011, and Education Jobs funds must be spent by Sept. 30, 2012.
