Comparing CSU/UC Eligibility Rates Over Time
The chart below shows that California high school graduates' California State University/University of California eligibility rates fluctuate slightly from year-to-year. Eligibility is based on the successful completion of college-prep A-G courses.
About six in 10 Asian students complete the college-prep sequence compared with only about a quarter of Native American, Latino, and African American students.
Notes: In 2008–09, the state has separate data for “two or more races” (40.1%) and for “no response” (37.3%). These data rely on self-reporting by districts.
