Percent of College-Going High School Graduates Who Attended a California Community College, Fall 2009
With the exception of Asian/Pacific Islanders, the majority of college-going students from every other ethnicity went to a California Community College after graduating from high school.
All told, 182,624 public high school students-or 48% of the class of 2008-went to a California public college or university in fall 2009. Of that total, 109,194 went to a California community college.
Note: 79% of Other/No Response college-going students also went to a California Community College after graduation.
