Student/Parent Guide: About to graduate from high school? Consider career education opportunities.

This four-page student/parent guide is aimed at high school students who want options other than pursuing a four-year college degree. The guide, which is in question-and-answer format, helps students connect to resources that will help them come up with a plan for their future, including how to:

• Discover their interests;
• Find out which careers are likely to be in demand;
• Learn what skills or knowledge they need;
• Find career and technical programs and schools in California;
• Determine if a program is right for them;
• Make sure that program is legitimate; and
• Get financial help.
