The latest draft of new national science standards being developed by 25 states is now available for review here. This is the last draft that will be open to public comment – until January 29 – before the final standards are released in March.
California is on track to adopt the standards in the fall. After that, the state, either on its own or in collaboration with other states, must create new tests to go with the standards. No timetable has been set yet or money set aside for that purpose.
