Doug Lasken

Doug Lasken taught 25 years for Los Angeles Unified, 15 years as an elementary teacher and 10 as a high school English teacher before retiring in 2009. After retirement he taught English for the UCLA Writing Project at Handong University in South Korea. Doug currently works part-time as debate coach at New Community Jewish High School in West Hills, Ca. He served four years on the Content Review Panel for the California Star Test, and has consulted for WestEd, the Pioneer and Fordham Institutes. He and his wife have three children, all graduates of Los Angeles Unified.
